Greater Trenton Area YMCA Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of many individuals with a variety of personal and work experience. It is this diversity of members which enriches the curriculum of the Greater Trenton Area YMCA and its offerings.

Jonathan Meer
President

As Vice President for University Advancement at Rider University, Meer is responsible for Rider's fund raising, alumni relations and external communications programs. A recent transplant (with his wife and three sons) to Mercer County, Meer served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the YMCA of San Joaquin County (in Stockton, California) from 2003 to 2005.


Anthony P. Carabelli
Vice President

Mercer County Freeholder with extensive background in Municipal and County government. Sixteen years as a volunteer YMCA Board Member.


Frank Marchetti
Board Member

Vice-President on the present Board, been a member of the Trenton YMCA, since 1988, holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Arts, degree from Rider University. Constructing the new Greater Trenton Area YMCA is our biggest goal.


Janet M. Mercer
Vice President

Janet M. Mercer, CPCU, ARe, is the Vice President of Financial Risk Management and Ceded Reinsurance in the Financial Management and Reporting Division of American Re-Insurance Company. A significant portion of her time is devoted to evaluating financial risks and proposing solutions to mitigate exposure and enhance the balance sheet positions of the company.


Jeff Hall
Treasurer

Jeff is a partner in the law firm of Fox Rothschild LLP. He practices primarily in the areas of outdoor advertising, constitutional and real estate law, handling land use matters, applications to planning and zoning boards, condemnation proceedings, real property tax appeals, contracts and commercial leasing, and property rights, real estate and commercial litigation.

Jeff is also a board member of YMCA Camp Ralph S. Mason and a member of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce, Princeton Regional of Commerce, and several professional organizations. He has coached and served as a trustee, president or vice president of several youth sports organizations.


Pasquale Colavita
Secretary

Pasquale A. "Pat" Colavita, Jr. retired as a Speech and Language Therapist from the Hamilton Township School System and is currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders. Pat is a life-long resident of Lawrence Township and a former member of the Lawrence Township Board of Education.


Betty V. Coles
Board Member

Betty is a retired school teacher in the Trenton School District. Volunteers her services at the Carver Center Building as a Building and grounds manager and serves on the NJ State Federation of Colored Women’s Club, Inc.


Kelli Dodson
Board Member

Kelli Dodson, a Trenton resident is the owner of We Haul Anything. She started the company in July 2006 and will haul anything from furniture to construction debris. Kelli is also an active member in the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce. This year she was accepted to the Future Business Leaders Council and participates on the Women in Business Committee and the Annual Dinner Committee.


Michael Donahue Jr.
Board Member

Michael G. Donahue, Esq. is a Shareholder of the law firm Stark & Stark, P.C. Mr. Donahue specializes in personal injury litigation and is admitted to the bar in New Jersey and the United States District Court, New Jersey. He also serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Boheme Opera New Jersey and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra.


John Dreboty
Board Member

John is a manager at Mercadien, P.C.and is a member of Mercadien P.C.’s Audit Committee. John is a graduate of St.John’s University with a Bachelor’s of Science in accounting. John is a member of both the American Institute and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accounts.John is married with one daughter.


Diane Gerofsky
Board Member

The Mercer County Surrogate, life-long resident of Mercer County, community activist involved in organizations that deal with child abuse, preservation of the city of Trenton, service to the community through charity care....see www.mercercounty.org/surrogate/index.htm for expanded biography.


Paul D. Nyquist
Board Member

Retired Volunteer with a degree in Engineering. Has been involved with the Greater Trenton Area YMCA since 1950 when he moved to the area and took residency at the Y and began his 56 year membership. Over the last 56 years, he has volunteered his services to the Y serving on numerous committees and the Board of Directors.


Francis X. Riley
Board Member

Francis X. Riley III, Esq. ("Trip"), a litigation partner in the Princeton, New Jersey office of Saul Ewing LLP, has been a board member for 3 1/2 years. Mr. Riley and his wife Mary, have four children and reside in Pennington, New Jersey.


James M. Rogers
Board Member

James is retired with 35 years of experience in electronics, engineering and management technology. Has served on various non profit Boards with 30 years experience as a volunteer serving the community.


Cordelia Staton
Board Member

The mother of two children and a life long resident of the City of Trenton. Cordelia has a long history of community service. Serving as President of the Hillcrest Civic Association for several years, active in the faith based community and is presently employed as the Community Liaison for the Trenton
School District. Cordelia also serves as Councilperson-at-Large on the Trenton City Council.


Bert H. Steinmann
Board Member

Retired from I.B.E.W. Local 269 Ð served for 35 years. His current status is Councilman of Ewing Township.


Cathy Tramontana
Board Member

Cathy Tramontana is an active member of the Mercer County and New Jersey community. She is presently the Director of Hamilton Township, N.J.’s office of Recreation and Senior Services. Cathy brings a wealth of experience in working with business, education and government to implement workforce initiatives aimed at providing career opportunities for young people. Cathy also possesses experience in generating recognition for boards and public/private partnerships.


Wayne Winderman
Board Member

Wayne is the Owner/Operator of a Golfside and Indoor Golf Simulator and golf training facility. Commercial and Residential Real Estate Developer. Wayne is a retired CPA.




The YMCA's youth development approach demonstrates notable success in bolstering developmental assets related to school success and character, as shown in surveys done with students who participate in our middle school community learning centers, as well as United Way outcome surveys.
