From the beginnings in 1856, interested and committed people have shaped the Greater Trenton Area YMCA.

POLICY VOLUNTEERS
Individuals who serve as Board Members for the Greater Trenton Area YMCA, setting policies and providing support for operations and activities are needed.

PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS
Individuals who get involved in numerous activities, lending special skills and acting as role models and guides for the many kids and families served by the YMCA are needed. (Reference-and background checks may be required.) The Greater Trenton Area YMCA has various types of needs that volunteers can donate their time and talent to help build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

The Capital Campaign Office seeks:
Promoters - Professional to assist in the promotion of the Y’s Capital Campaign. Familiarity with public relations/communications a must.

The Family Program Center seeks:
Volunteer Coordinator - High energy professional will recruit and manage volunteers in youth program ranging from tutorial, sports and fitness to arts. Administrative and development tasks. Afternoon, 15 hours a week.

The Child Care Department seeks:
Mentoring Program - Professional with administrative skills, to assist in mentoring program.
Sports Specialist - Athletic individual with knowledge of sports, to assist Physical Director in implementing a youth fitness and sports program.
Mentors - Caring and responsible adults needed to spend quality time with youth.
Teacher Aide - Responsible & caring individual to serve as role model and participate in daily educational/ recreational activities.
Literacy Readers - Responsible and caring individual to serve as a literacy reader to our pre-school and after school participants.

Fitness and Wellness Department seeks:
Group Exercise Instructor/Aerobic Instructor - Conduct a safe, progressive exercise regimen for various ages and fitness levels.
Equipment Attendant - Attend to the safety of weights and equipment; light maintenance work and cleaning.
